"Jobs For You in Ukraine" (J4UA) - an innovative skill diagnostic platform aimed at enhancing competency matching and improving employment opportunities.
1. Platform description
J4UA provides information and advice on the following issues:
- Assessment of the participants' skills and competencies.
- Occupations that match the participants' skills and competencies.
- A large pool of vacancies in different regions of Ukraine that match the participants' skills and competencies.
J4UA builds on the J4U (Job for You) platform created by a research team from the Universities of Lausanne (UNIL) and Geneva (UNIGE) and adapted to the features of the labour market in Ukraine.
2. How to use J4UA
To take advantage of all the benefits of J4UA, participants are required to register on the platform and complete an online assessment. Based on the results of this assessment, a skills profile will be created to offer you personalised recommendations of occupations.
The online assessment will take about one hour to complete and can be taken only once. Therefore, it is important to answer questions and complete tasks in a quiet environment. We recommend taking the assessment on a computer and without longer breaks in between.
3. Conditions of participation
Participants are required to:
- be of legal age (over 18 years old);
- intend to find a job now or in the future;
- be willing to use the platform.
4. Benefits for the participants
- Participants take an online assessment and can view their established skills profile.
- Participants get access to a large pool of vacancies that allows them to find a suitable job.
- Participants receive occupation recommendations and can decide to what extent their skills profile is taken into account.
- Participants can check open positions on J4UA at any time and the job database is updated regularly.
5. Rights and duties of the participants
The purpose of J4UA is to support people in identifying their strengths and developing their career opportunities. The J4UA platform helps create an individual skills profile and suggests occupations that match the skills and competencies of each participant, thereby expanding their chances of a successful job search. J4UA facilitates the job search process but does not guarantee employment.
The use of the J4UA platform is free of cost and voluntary. Each participant can stop using it without giving any reason. Also, each participant can delete his/her profile and request the removal of his/her data from the platform by contacting jobs4ua@kneu.edu.ua.
6. Financing of the platform and platform development
The J4UA platform was developed by researcher from the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman with financial support from the Swiss National Science Foundation (fund number ZURZ1_225092). The fund is administered by Prof. Rafael Lalive and by Prof. Svitlana Tsymbaliuk.
7. Data protection
This platform collects data on job searches by participants.
All data is kept strictly confidential within the research team. The data will be used for scientific purposes only. The analyses are published only in a summarised form, which does not allow drawing conclusions about individual participants.
Data protection will be carried out in accordance with Swiss and Ukrainian legislation and scientific standards.
